The Lakeview Club in Subang Jaya is our everyday water: try sessions, courses and weekly training. Bukit Kiara Pool is where depth technique gets built: equalisation, duck dives, free immersion, and where underwater model and dance happen.

The SSI Freediver course takes you from your first breath-hold to the open water. Want more time in the pool first? SSI Pool Freediver lets you learn until you're ready. Still nervous about the water? There's a 2-hour Try session for that. Small groups, SSI instructors, no rushing.

Freediving in Kuala Lumpur: FAQ

I've never freedived. Where do I start in KL?
With a 2-hour Try Freediving session (RM250). No experience needed. Love it? Sign up for a course on the same day and RM200 of your Try fee goes towards it. From there, SSI Freediver takes you from your first breath-hold in the pool all the way to the open water, or SSI Pool Freediver lets you learn in the pool until you're ready.
How much is a freediving course in KL?
The complete SSI Freediver course is RM1,900. SSI Pool Freediver is RM1,180, with pool entry of RM55 per session paid separately. Try Freediving is RM250.
Which pool should I train at: Lakeview or Bukit Kiara?
The Lakeview Club is our everyday pool: try sessions, courses and weekly training. Bukit Kiara Pool is our premium water for depth technique: equalisation, duck dives, free immersion, and for underwater model and dance.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
No. Our courses start from zero and only ask for good physical condition. If the water makes you nervous, tell us. That's exactly what SSI Pool Freediver is for: you keep training in the pool until you're comfortable.
Can I join alone?
Absolutely. Most of our students sign up on their own, train in a small group, and leave with dive buddies.
Where does the open water part happen?
Pool training is in KL. The open water part of SSI Freediver is completed on one of our Shello freediving expeditions. The expedition fee is charged separately.
Is the SSI certification recognised overseas?
Yes, we're an SSI training center. SSI certifications are recognised worldwide and live digitally in the MySSI app.
